I joined Empowerly during my sophomore year when I had just figured out what I wanted to major in during college. I was struggling to figure out the next steps, but Jennifer Liepin, my counselor, has helped guide me immensely. She's assisted me in every aspect of the high school process, and I always feel confident about my next steps after meetings with her. She has a keen eye for recognizing the strengths of her students and is extremely proactive, constantly checking in and providing resources for any endeavors her students take on. As a whole, Empowerly offers amazing resources, such as the internship program and application reviews, that aren't offered at many other places and that have the potential to greatly improve any student's application. I would highly recommend not just Jennifer but Empowerly to any high schooler looking to get help in the college application process.

Empowerly helped me a great deal with all of my college apps from the numerous resources for attaining internships, reading previously selected college essays, and essays edits from college admissions to some of the best college counselors. My counselor helped me significantly in editing and giving me great feedback on my essays and application and had made the entire college application journey for me easier and run smoothly! I really appreciate all of his help with my applications!

I started working with Empowerly at the end of my Sophomore year. Within the first few meetings with my counselor, I created an independent research project focused on helping rural Americans with Telemedicine. Unfortunately, I changed counselors at the end of the summer but was assigned a new counselor who better fit my work style and personality. Over the past year and a half, I have enjoyed working with Brooke Vittimberga. Brooke has guided me in every way possible regarding the college process. She helped me start a club at my school in light of the pandemic, taught me how to write strong essays, and encouraged me to apply to local internships. On top of having a personal counselor, Empowerly offers hundreds of past student essays that you can look at, along with a separate essay editing team. Empowerly is an excellent college resource, and I would strongly recommend it.

Have had a fantastic experience with Empowerly so far, the counselling suggestions are always on the point and personalised with respect to my specific situation. The internship matching process is very smooth, and is a great opportunity for anyone looking to earn some hands-on work experience. I was matched with a startup within 2 weeks of submitting my application, and the program has been terrific in terms of its management and efficiency.

Empowerly is a great service. In the month that I have been with them, me and my counselor have already accomplished tons of things that would never have happened without Empowerly, such as applying for a summer program and applying for an internship.

My counselor Daniel Riseman has been immensely helpful as I prepare to apply to colleges next year. He has assisted me in studying for standardized tests, narrowing down colleges I would like to attend and what I would like to study at them, and creating a profile that reflects my skill sets. Empowerly has been so helpful throughout my high school career. My counselor, Eli Epstein-Deutsch, has helped guide me in picking extracurriculars that relate to my passion and has helped me pick out summer programs and online classes to take. He has also helped me work on school projects, applications, and my resume and has given me amazing advice about academics and group work. I appreciate his help and I'm glad I signed up for Empowerly.

Fantastic college counseling, prompt essay edits, and lots of staff members who really care about you! My counselor frequently worked overtime to help me prepare my applications. We were able to get through the common app and supplements for 20 colleges in a few months, working 30-60 minutes a week. When I submitted essays to be edited, the editors provided clear feedback and sometimes got essays back to me in as few as 20 minutes (keep in mind, it was 11:00 p.m.)

2021 college admissions was very different from the previous years, given the test-optional and test blind nature, given the pandemic situation. We didn't know where we stood and hence it was difficult right from coming up with the college list. Our college counselor Ms. Katharine Chu guided us through the process. She knocked off a number of safety colleges and added more reach colleges. She challenged my son with the essays. My son was never happy when we presented our views. But with Ms. Katharine, all the inputs were well received and respected. Ms. Katharine made herself available even during late hours, answering to any questions we had with the college applications. When the results came in with more acceptances, we appreciated her role, especially the last minute top college additions. My son is going to one of the colleges suggested by Ms. Katharine, which was not in our original list. In addition to the great counselor, Empowerly also has many value added services including review of college application. Overall, we are very happy with Empowerly and we had recommended the name to our friends and colleagues.

Empowerly has been very helpful in guiding me through the whole college process along with materials and deadlines to take note of. The essay editing tools, adcom reviews, and counselor meetings have especially been useful. My counselor Katharine has helped me draft numerous essays and helped me through the Common App and supplemental responses. Overall, Empowerly has been a great service for me and helped me stay organized through this long process

My sessions with Raisa Alam, my counselor, were incredibly beneficial. She immediately made me feel at ease, and helped me greatly with the whole college admissions process--everything from creating a college list to finding scholarships. Raisa’s assistance with writing college essays was particularly valuable, since I would not have known where to even start without her help. Because Empowerly has established procedures and additional support such as the Essay Editing and Research services, the whole process felt very streamlined and not stressful at all. I highly recommend Empowerly.

Empowerly is an excellent service. The essay editing and research resources have been phenomenal, and my counselor Kate has been amazing with both advice about essay writing and about the college application process as a whole.

My counselor Danielle gave me useful feedback on my Common App essay and all my supplementals. It was helpful that she helped me present myself in a cohesive way, something I wouldn't have been able to do without the help of Empowerly. I had a wonderful experience working with Kate who really guided me throughout my high school years. She provided pointed feedback on the application and the college essays. Through her guidance, I was able to build a strong academic and extracurricular track record which really helped with my college application. She is super flexible and accommodates last minute meeting requests and schedule changes. Every minute of the meeting her was time well spent and super useful.

I had Elizabeth Venturini as my advisor, and she did a great job at being a source of guidance and helping me develop my professional skills, which were probably my overall weakest aspect. She's also just very funny and caring, which are both highly appreciated for someone in her position. I would highly recommend working with her.

Empowerly has two great things going for it- a right well supported process and really great advisors. The former provides structure, clarity and joint access to students and parents. The latter ensures that the students have someone they trust and someone who is knowledgeable through the process. Charmaine advised both of our daughters - one two years ago and one now. She’s amazing!

I have had a great experience with empowerly, specifically Shahrukh. He is a perfect guide to my needs in looking for a college. His feedback is extremely valuable and helps to improve the application process. Additionally, the essay editing and the adCOM team is great in helping improve my essays and overall application. I highly recommend using Empowerly and guidance by Shahrukh.

Waste of money - better off paying someone by the hour for assistance with the essays. They did not follow up and the independent tutors are not very dedicated.

My Empowerly Counselor helped me immensely more with the whole college application process than anyone else ever had. He helped me step by step, from choosing colleges up to editing and critiquing my applications. Without him, this process would have been much more stressful and my application would not stand out as much. My experience with my counselor has been 10/10. However, the team behind editing the essays was not the best service I've received. There were numerous grammatical and spelling mistakes that they overlooked or added to my essays that could've messed me up if I hadn't gone through their edits thoroughly. Yet, they gave me new ideas and ways to look at the essays to make the writing process simpler. Finally, the actual website students access all of these resources from was mostly useful, but showed several bugs regarding the empowerly score and checklist of items. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would recommend Empowerly to students who are stressing through this process.

Empowerly is a great service. As a student I felt heard and my counselor was very helpful through my college application process. A bit pricey but all college counseling services are. Sometimes it was hard to make meetings fit into my schedule as my counselor and I both had very busy schedules. Overall very accommodating.

She met with me twice a week and made sure my want and needs were met. She provided constant encouragement as the process is not easy to go through alone.
